The Electronic Certificate of Origin Issuing System is a service to request for Certificate of Origin via internet or is a facilitation tool for private sector who requires to obtain the Certificate of Origin.

The Electronic Certificate of Origin Issuing System is governed by the Department of Import and Export, Ministry of Industry and Commerce who serves as a secretariat to the Minister of Industry and Commerce on researching and providing strategic policies to develop import and export, administering origin of goods and others as specified in Decision on Organization and Movement of Department of Import and Export No. 2456/MoIC.ORG, dated 25 December 2009.

The usage of the system is based on Decision on Submission for Approval of Electronic Certificate of Origin No. 0369/MoIC.DIMEX, dated 26 February 2016.

The submission for approval of Electronic Certificate of Origin or e-CO is an electronic process to declare documents in order to apply for Preferential Certificate of Origin.
